The new online education programme, Clean Sport 101 will be launched next Tuesday 5 May, and will be supported by a social media campaign featuring former All Black Keven Mealamu, Paralympian Hamish McLean and Olympians Eliza McCartney and Caitlyn Ryan.
Clean Sport 101 has been designed as an introductory course for club level athletes and support personnel who are yet to receive clean sport education.
With a focus of providing education to club level athletes, Clean Sport 101 will support clubs and sports organisations in ensuring their members are aware of their anti-doping responsibilities. Upon course completion, members will have a basic understanding of clean sport, why it is important and know where to access various resources.
Topics include the Anti-Doping Rules, potential risks to athletes including supplement use, examples of how athletes can best fuel their bodies and what a ban from sport actually means
The course is simple, easy to understand and only takes 15 minutes to complete
Athletes will login via the DFSNZ e-Learning platform so completions can be tracked
